Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand how and for what purposes Quant processes your Personal Data.


This Privacy Policy describes Quant AB, and other entities within the Quant Group (“Quant”, “us” or “our”), processing of your Personal Data. Personal Data is any and all information that can, directly or indirectly, be used to identify a natural person (“Personal Data”).

This Privacy Policy applies to all our processing of Personal Data related to contact inquires, performance of our services, job applications, cookies, marketing and your use of our website and smartphone apps (“Services”).

Your integrity is of utmost importance to us and Quant only processes Personal Data in accordance with your preferences, any agreement you may have entered into with us, this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Please note that you may not be able to fully utilise our Services without disclosing Personal Data to us.

If you disclose Personal Data to us about others, you are responsible for ensuring that these persons have given their consent to our processing of their Personal Data in accordance with this Privacy Policy and any additional terms applicable to the specific processing in question.

Who is responsible for the processing of personal data?

Quant AB, Company Reg. No. 556975-5654, St. Göransgatan 66, 112 33 Stockholm, Sweden is the controller of most of the processing of your Personal Data in connection with the provision of the Services. However, different entities within the Quant Group may be either controller or processor, or joint controller, with regards to the processing of the Personal Data, depending on which of our Services you use.

Quant’s partners may also be joint controllers of the processing if such entities, together with a Quant Group entity, determines the purposes and means of the processing of your Personal Data.

Third parties such as Quant’s sub-contractors, or even entities within the Quant Group, may process your Personal Data on behalf of an entity within the Quant Group as a processor (e.g. to manage or maintain our website).

We may also be required to transfer certain Personal Data to public authorities, in which case they will become controllers of the Personal Data transferred to them.

What personal data is collected and how is it used?

Quant may collect Personal Data directly from you when you use the Services (e.g. use our website or if you use a specific service the company you work for has purchased from us). Quant may also receive Personal Data from companies within the Quant Group or partners from time to time.

Depending on what Services you use, the Personal Data collected, the means of collection and the purpose of the processing, may vary. Quant may process your Personal Data for the purposes set out below as well as purposes described to you in connection with the specific Services you use:

Contact inquiries

If you contact one of our offices via e-mail, telephone, SMS or via one of our other communication channels, we may process the Personal Data you provide us with (e.g. name, telephone number, address and e-mail address) in order to help and assist you further.

Job applications

Quant may, if you send in a job application (spontaneously or to apply for a specific position) via our website, or one of our other communication channels, process your Personal Data in order to evaluate your application and recruit staff. The Personal Data processed within the recruitment process may include:

  • Your name, address, email address and telephone number.
  • Your CV, résumé, cover letter, previous and/or relevant work or other experience, transcripts, education, or other information you voluntarily provide to us in the job application.
  • Details of the type of employment you are looking for, area or preferable country or other job preferences.
  • Gender, information about citizenship and/or nationality.
  • Your qualifications, skills, and interests for Quants career opportunities.
  • Reference checks and/or background checks (where applicable) if you are offered a job.
  • Reports and other Personal Data needed in order to comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or enforceable governmental requests.
  • We advise you not to provide us with any sensitive Personal Data, such as medical or health information and/or your racial or ethnic origin.

If you are offered and accept employment, some of the information collected during the recruitment process will become part of your employment record.

If you are not offered a job at Quant, we may save the information we collect from you in the recruitment process for up to 6 months. Thereafter the Personal Data collected will be permanently deleted.

Spontaneous job applications will, unless a recruitment process is initiated, be saved for up to 12 months from the date you send your application to us.

Statistics and analysis

Quant may anonymise the Personal Data collected from you in connection with the Services, to use in aggregated form as a basis for improvements, statistics and analysis.

Third party transfers

We may, with your consent, transfer your Personal Data to third party marketing companies (e.g. Facebook, Google, Instagram) to show you relevant and personalised advertisements, measure the effectiveness of an advertising campaign or to record traffic flow and ad clicks. We analyse the information we collect about you, for instance by dividing customers into different customer categories based on purchase patterns, behaviour and interactions with us.


If you use our Services we may process your Personal Data in order to send you information with regards to our products and services, as well as customer surveys that give you the opportunity to influence the range of products and services we provide. Our processing of sending you customer surveys are based on our legitimate interest.

If you wish to no longer receive marketing from us, you can object to further processing by contacting us (see contact details below). If you object to our continued processing, your Personal Data will be deleted or anonymized (unless the Personal Data in question is also processed for other purposes) and you will no longer receive direct marketing from us.
We may also, with you consent, use photos of you for marketing purposes (e.g. in promotion videos, on Quant’s website, presentations, advertisements and marketing material).
If we have a customer relationship with you, we may also contact you in regards of our cooperation.

Personal Data collected automatically via cookies

We use cookies on our website to improve your experience when using our website and to enhance the security. Personal Data that we collect through cookies (e.g. your IP-address) may be anonymised and used in aggregated form as a basis for improvements, statistics and analysis (e.g. for the purpose of assessing gender and age distribution).

Smartphone apps

By using smartphone apps provided by Quant we may collect data to authenticate you and authorize your access to resources provided in the apps.

The performance of our services

In order to take on or complete a work order or perform our services we need to process Personal Data. The scope of the work will determine what data will be processed and how.

Regardless of the scope of the work, we always need a contact person for each customer in order to accept or complete the work and to invoice work performed. Therefore, if you are a contact person of our customer, we will process your contact details (e.g. name, position,department, e-mail address and phone number). We will normally collect these data directly from you, but in some cases, we may receive them from someone else at your company.

Depending on the scope of the services purchased we may also process Personal Data concerning persons who are connected to the work, such as employees of our customer, in order to complete the work on behalf of our customer (e.g. in conjunction with a work order or services request).

We process Personal Data to the extent that it is necessary for the purpose of performing contracts for services in relation to our customers (including invoicing), which is in our and our customer’s legitimate interest. In regards to the Personal Data processed, we believe that the data subjects’ interests or fundamental rights and freedoms do not override our and our customer’s legitimate interest. We continuously evaluate if the processing of data we receive or are requested to collect constitute a violation of the data subjects’ interests or fundamental rights and freedoms.

Access to Quant Systems

Provided that you are authorized and the company you work for has purchased services that require log in to Quant Systems (e.g. quantWorx) services, we will process your Personal Data (contact information and department) for the purpose of giving you access and to verify your log in to our system.

Where is the personal data processed?

Quant will process your Personal Data both within and outside the EU/EEA.

Quant may transfer to, or process your Personal Data in, third party countries outside the EU/EEA in order for us to provide you the Services. Some of the transfers will be made in accordance with an adequacy decision by the Commission (e.g. EU-US Privacy Shield). We will ensure that such companies have an adequate level of security with respect to the processing of Personal Data. Such companies outside the EU/EEA will be legally bound to apply an adequate level of security with respect to the processing of your Personal Data by means of the EU-US Privacy Shield, Binding Corporate Rules or the EU Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

Notwithstanding the previous paragraph; Quant may transfer or disclose your Personal Data to (i) public authorities outside the EU/EEA if required by law or relevant authorities, or (ii) partners to which you have agreed to disclose your Personal Data.

If Quant sells, re-organises or otherwise transfers all or part of Quant’s business, your Personal Data may be transferred together with the business.

Who can access the personal data?

Your Personal Data may be processed by relevant authorities as well as entities within the Quant Group and by Quant’s sub-contractors and partners in order to provide you with the Services. Personal Data will only be processed in accordance with this Privacy Policy, for purposes you have agreed to, or purposes that are otherwise legitimate or required under applicable law (e.g. to fulfil an agreement between you and us).

Quant’s sub-contractors and partners may process your Personal Data on behalf of us if and to the extent it is necessary for providing the agreed Services to you.

When are personal data deleted?

Quant will process your Personal Data for as long as it is necessary to provide Services to you or until you contact us to have your Personal Data deleted. Please note that Quant, as stated below, has the right or may be obliged to undertake certain processing activities without your consent.

We may prolong the processing of your Personal Data under certain circumstances and on a case by case basis if we are so required by law or relevant authorities, or if we have a legitimate interest to do so and is so allowed by applicable law e.g. to defend our interest should we have a dispute with you.

You have the right to request from Quant rectification of, access to or erasure of your Personal Data. At your request Quant will, free of charge, rectify or delete any incorrect, incomplete or irrelevant Personal Data.

You may also, at any time and for any reason, revoke your consent to the processing of your Personal Data, after which your Personal Data will be deleted or made anonymous without undue delay. Furthermore, you have the right to request that Quant restricts the processing of your Personal Data, or object to Quant’s processing of your Personal Data.

You also have the right to data portability of your Personal Data.

Please be aware that, depending on your requests, you may thereafter not be able to fully use our Services.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, Quant may have the legal right or obligation to store or otherwise process your Personal Data without your consent.

You have the right to request to receive information annually about what Personal Data relating to you, Quant processes. Such request shall be made to Quant in writing through any of the means set forth in the “Contact us” section.

Instead of deleting your Personal Data we may anonymise it.

If you have concerns relating to Quant’s processing of your Personal Data, you are welcome to contact us through any of the means set forth in the “Contact us” section below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority within the EU/EEA.


Quant strives to maintain a high level of protection of your Personal Data and privacy by taking appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your Personal Data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or other unauthorised processing. Quant continuously improves its security measures to meet the development of technology.

Our systems use encryption of data in transit to prevent unauthorised access and other unauthorised processing.

Quant will enter into necessary data processing agreement with third parties that processes your Personal Data on behalf of Quant, in order to ensure an adequate level of security for your Personal Data.


Quant reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time.
